FINLAND, Feb.11.2015

 Friday, Feb.20 thru Wednesday Feb.25, 2015
Dr. Ville Hiilesmaa, PY2ZEA and Senior Researcher Martti Laine, OH2BH on
science expedition.
Next week's PW0F operation carries major scientific value, which may
result in some sporadic and unexpected appearance and/or sudden
disappearance of the signal. The essence of the study is taking two ladies
to a somewhat remote island and putting their psychological stability to the
test while left idling in the absence of two men running the ARRL DX
Contest. Depending on the intermediate results the ladys' minds may be
further challenged by testing the effect of other radio frequencies outside
of the contest frequency spectrum.
The results will be distributed on their science paper QSL card via

 Tuesday Mar.03 thru Mar.09, 2015
The party of Leena, OH2BE and Martti, OH2BH will continue their study
tour to Cayman Islands, where Martti will air ZF2BH in the ARRL SSB Contest
along with Joe, ZF2AH (W6VNR).
The duo is grateful for the assistance of John ZF1DJ, Andrew ZF1EJ, Joe
ZF2AH and John ZF2AM and the entire gang at the Cayman Amateur Radio
Society, ZF1A.
   ZF2BH via OH2BH & ZF2AH via W6VNR.
[Martti Laine, OH2BH]

Working for the World Food program, Michael PA5M will be active from
Guinea as 3XY5M for the next two months. QRV on HF bands, possibly 6m. QSL
via PA7FM. [DX-World]

The West Virginia Chapter of the NAQCC Club will be operating a Special

(1500z) till 2pm (1900z) on the standard QRP frequencies of 40 and 20
metres, using the club callsign N3AQC. The museum has a nine element beam at
the ham shack. John, N8ZYA will be using his Icom 703 at 5 watts of power
for the event. More details are available at:

Hello IOTA chasers
The coming days ahead a nice surprise was to hit the airwaves, OC-274
Three YB ops were planning to activate Lucipara Island (OC-274) but as of
this evening (20:00z) it's been cancelled due to one of the ops (Budi,
YF1AR) being taken ill to hospital.
Wishing Budi better health first and foremost.
73 Col MM0NDX

Pierre, VE3KTB who was previously active from Ellesmere Island plans
upcoming activity from the MARS-McGill Arctic research station on Axel
Heiberg island, NA-043. This is a rare IOTA located in the Nunavut (Sverdrup
Islands) group. Dates are yet to be announced. Stay tuned! [DX-World]

After a quite long time of inactivity a brand new callsign will be on air
